Haas GN Profilers for the Stone Industry

Series GR Granite Profilers feature 10-pocket automatic tool changer and 40-taper, 10,000 rpm spindle with 15 hp vector drive that provides power and torque to profile laminated granite slabs up to 6 cm thick. Machines can radius edges, cut 2D and 3D contours, and perform sink cutouts and core drillings. Open-table design allows pod-mounting of large or awkwardly shaped workpieces. Brushless servo motors combined with high-pitch ballscrews produce rapids up to 2,100 ipm.

Haas Automation, Inc., continues to expand the capabilities of its GR Series Gantry Routers to meet the needs of today’s diverse industries. Haas GR models are now available with a range of special features geared specifically toward the stone industry.

Each Haas CNC Granite Profiler features generous travels, a large fixed table, a 10-pocket automatic tool changer and a powerful 40-taper spindle. The 10,000-rpm spindle features a15-hp vector drive system that provides the power and torque to profile laminated granite slabs up to 6 cm thick. Haas GR series profilers are versatile enough to radius edges, cut 2D and 3D contours, perform sink cutouts and core drillings, and deliver a perfect finish polish – whether in granite or other types of stone.

The list of available options includes a through-spindle water system, an integrated tool- and work-offset probing system and a 20-pocket tool changer for additional tooling. Machines may also be equipped with removable table guards, risers that provide an additional 6" of Z-axis clearance and Haas Automation’s Visual Quick Code programming system.

The heavy steel construction of the GR machines provides an extremely rigid cutting platform, and the roomy, open-table design offers exceptional access and flexibility for pod-mounting large or awkwardly shaped workpieces. The overhead gantry assembly travels the full length of the fixed table on heavy-duty linear guides, which provide low friction and high positioning accuracy. Powerful brushless servo motors combined with high-pitch ballscrews produce rapids up to 2100 ipm for fast cycle times. The famously user-friendly Haas control accepts ISO standard G-code programming, and is compatible with all major CAD/CAM systems.

The Haas GR Series CNC Granite Profilers provide the stone industry with specialized machines of exceptional quality and value. As with all Haas products, they are backed by a worldwide network of Haas Factory Outlets that provide the best service and support in the machine tool industry.
